What does Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw do?

Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw (FDI) is a ""good initiatives"" foundation that's been supporting children and young people from foster care institutions since 2014.

Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw supports children and young people from foster care institutions, particularly in small towns and rural areas. Its highest priority is to provide them with tools for emotional and financial independence. FDI works to ensure that the educational program in care facilities in Poland meets the highest European standards.

Our goal is to bring about systemic change in the area of support for children and youth in foster care institutions.

Foundation's Vision:
A. By 2030, we aim for every child in a foster care institution in Poland to have access to the best educational and developmental program available within the European system of institutional foster care.
B. We strive for legislative changes regarding institutional foster care, expanding support for young adults who have aged out of foster care after turning 18.

What contributes to the credibility of Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw?

Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw as a public benefit organization, is subject to regulations that require us to prepare an annual substantive report and financial report on the activities of the foundation (publicly available on our website in the 'Documents' section).

Additionally, we are the exclusive partner of United Way in Poland (one of the most recognized non-governmental organizations in the United States, known for adhering to the highest standards of reporting and transparency). We are also one of the few Polish organizations whose activities have been positively verified by CAF America (Charities Aid Foundation America) - an organization that facilitates the grant-making process, mitigating risk through a multi-level verification system of partner organizations and companies.
