On 10 April 2025, we held another renovation project together with volunteers from Alcon. This time we renovated the interiors of the „Dom na Zielonym Wzgórzu” in Kisielany – a safe home form 14 children in foster care.
As part of the project, we renovated the hall and five children’s rooms, as well as tidying up after the work was completed. Spring is the perfect time for a refurbishment – fresh colours and a clean space promote wellbeing, a sense of security and better day-to-day functioning. We want our residents to live in interiors that are well maintained, functional and simply – friendly.
The entire campaign would not have been possible without the tremendous dedication of 15 Alcon volunteers who gave their time, strength and energy as part of the Alcon in Action initiative to refresh the space of the House on Green Hill. Their hard work and positive energy has created an environment that we hope will be conducive to the children’s recreation, learning and development.
The volunteers received a certificate of appreciation for their contribution – a small gesture, but a symbolic expression of gratitude for their real help to the facility and children. As this action shows, employee volunteering is not only a form of social commitment – it is also a value for the company itself. The integration of the team around a common goal, better team relations, stronger sense of responsibility and influence among the employees involved in the action are all benefits that the company and its volunteers gain from the action.
And the children? They were in for a surprise!
During the renovation work, the children from the home spent time at the Mandoria amusement park. When they returned to their home, they were surprised by the new look – fresh colours and a clean, tidy place. We hope that the renovations will prove to them that someone cares about them and the conditions in which they spend their time.
The renovation projects are not only infrastructural support for the foster care facilities. It is also an expression of social solidarity and corporate responsibility that does not forget those who need support. We are delighted to be able to make a real difference to the quality of children’s daily lives through initiatives such as these.

The service enables the donation to be made to the Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw to support statutory activities and individual initiatives. Online payments are handled by payment operators: PayU SA and PayPal.

All data collected by Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw is protected. To make a one-time donation through the service, after selecting the online payment operator, the User is appropriately redirected to the payment operator’s website.
As part of online payments, the User can make payments using: payment cards, electronic transfers, and traditional transfers. Details regarding the implementation of online payments and the way in which payment operators execute them are determined by the regulations applied by the aforementioned payment operators.
In addition, from the service’s website, the user has the option of obtaining data for making a traditional bank transfer independently.
In justified cases, the Donor may file a complaint and demand a refund of the donated funds. The complaint should be submitted to the following address: biuro@fdi.org.pl, stating „complaint” in the subject line, and providing the reason and detailed transaction data. Each complaint will be considered individually by Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw within 14 days of receipt of the complaint.
Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw is a public benefit organization. Therefore, a donation made to Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw can be deducted when settling personal income tax for the given tax year, in accordance with applicable law – on the date of entry into force of these Regulations. All payments are expressed in Polish zloty (PLN).
