We are pleased to announce that the Foundation for Good Initiatives (Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw, FDI) will remain a partner of the Tree and Tomorrow Foundation (Fundacja Drzewo i Jutro, FDJ) for the next three years. This means an extension of the existing cooperation and a secure future for one of the FDI’s most important projects, the scholarship programme.
The relationship between the foundations began over a year ago and resulted in the pilot support of the scholarship programme. As a donor, the Tree and Tomorrow Foundation gave a positive opinion on the FDI’s application, which was in line with the values of both organisations. One of the main goals of the cooperation is to improve the availability of psychotherapy for children in foster care in small towns and villages. PLN 50,000 from the Tree and Tomorrow Foundation supported this aspect of the scholarship programme, which provided support to 14 students from our partner facilities.
We see the extension of our cooperation for further years as a vote of confidence in the social relevance of our programme. The Tree and Tomorrow Foundation has approved our application for support of the scholarship programme for the period 2024-2027. The annual support of 60,000 will enable us to fund scholarships for more children in need. This money will allow us to fund psychological support and educational support (tutoring, courses and training). We will also use it to fund therapeutic activities that are an integral part of our other project – summer and winter camps for children and young people in care.
We perceive the scholarship programme as a key part of the FDI offer for children in foster care. We provide truly comprehensive support and sometimes open the door for important issues. The beneficiaries of the project are children from and leaving foster care facilities in Białowieża, Krasne, Łuków, Stoczek Łukowski, Pasłęk, Kisielany, Skopanie, Supraśl, Olsztyn, Zambrów and Warsaw. So we are happy that we can continue and further develop our scholarship programme. We promise not to stop!
