In a world defined by haste and time pressure, it\u2019s increasingly hard to find a moment simply to be together. That is precisely why the Foundation for Good Initiatives<\/strong> launched the Good Relations Olympiad<\/strong>\u2014a project that reminds us wellbeing begins with closeness, and that one of life\u2019s greatest achievements is the ability to build and sustain good relationships with those we love\u2014even if no one hands out medals for it.<\/p>\n

An idea that brings people together<\/h1>\n

The Good Relations Olympiad<\/strong> is a unique FGI project that brings companies and employees together around the ideas of closeness, wellbeing, and mental health. In this very special \u201ccompetition,\u201d victory is measured by the activities participants undertake with their loved ones. What counts are gestures, conversations, shared laughter, and attentiveness to others.<\/p>\n

In three-person teams, volunteers complete tasks across three categories: Shared Movement<\/strong>, Shared Fun<\/strong>, and Shared Everyday Life<\/strong>. Each completed task, confirmed in the app, earns points which their company then converts into financial support for children and young people in foster care.<\/p>\n

And who wins? Everyone.<\/strong> Engaged employees, partner companies, and\u2014above all\u2014the Foundation\u2019s beneficiaries from foster care. For them, this is real help that changes lives. Funds raised during the Olympiad go towards therapeutic, educational, and developmental programmes that help them rebuild trust\u2014in others and in themselves.<\/p>\n

Success measured by closeness<\/h1>\n

The just-finished second edition<\/strong> of the Good Relations Olympiad brought together 55 participants<\/strong> from five partner companies<\/strong>: ASBUD Group, Danske Bank, IPSOS, Jacobs,<\/strong> and Lenovo<\/strong>. Over 10 days<\/strong> of friendly rivalry, volunteers completed 1,200 tasks<\/strong>, earned more than 18,600 points<\/strong>, and spent over 1,000 hours<\/strong> with their loved ones\u2014talking, playing, walking, and sharing meals. As a result, nearly PLN 45,000<\/strong> was raised, which the Foundation for Good Initiatives will allocate to supporting young adults leaving foster care.<\/p>\n

Thanks to their relational engagement, the podium of FGI\u2019s Olympiad featured: Lenovo<\/strong> in 1st place<\/strong>, Danske Bank<\/strong> in 2nd<\/strong>, and Jacobs<\/strong> in 3rd<\/strong>. In the team ranking, the most points were scored by the \u201cMilenialsi\u201d<\/strong> team from IPSOS<\/strong>; \u201cKoniunktura\u201d<\/strong> from Jacobs<\/strong> placed 2nd<\/strong>; and \u201cPyzy\u201d<\/strong> from Lenovo<\/strong> took 3rd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But the true winners are all those who found time for one another\u2014even if they didn\u2019t receive a medal this time\u2014because the bonds they built are stronger than gold and sweeter than applause.<\/p>\n

Why it\u2019s worth training good relationships<\/h1>\n

This year\u2019s edition kicked off on 10 October\u2014World Mental Health Day<\/strong>\u2014because caring for relationships is also caring for mental health.<\/p>\n

According to the report \u201cThe Wellbeing of Poles,\u201d<\/strong> as many as 47%<\/strong> of us rate our wellbeing as only average, and 32%<\/strong> of working people often feel isolated. The Good Relations Olympiad<\/strong> helps change that\u2014in both professional and private spheres.<\/p>\n

Every shared activity encouraged and rewarded by the Olympiad\u2014cooking, DIY, board games, a walk, or doing yoga together\u2014strengthens bonds and becomes a real step towards better mental fitness. Good relationships work like a natural antidepressant: they reduce stress, deepen our sense of purpose, and teach gratitude.<\/p>\n

For companies, taking part in the Good Relations Olympiad<\/strong> is a way to support employees\u2019 mental wellbeing, build trust, improve communication, and foster a culture of collaboration. For employees, it\u2019s a chance\u2014amid the rush of obligations\u2014to remember the value of conversations at the table, a family walk, or a child\u2019s smile.<\/p>\n

A community that grows<\/h1>\n

The Good Relations Olympiad<\/strong> is more than another CSR project\u2014it\u2019s a culture of care that moves from workplace teams into homes and neighbourhoods. Each edition proves that when people cooperate, good things happen: there\u2019s more understanding in teams, more tenderness at home, and more hope among the Foundation\u2019s beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

Together we can do more<\/h1>\n

This year\u2019s Olympiad has come to an end, but its message remains: let\u2019s train good relationships every day. We don\u2019t need an app or prizes to build a world in which no one feels alone. Because when we are together\u2014goodness grows.<\/p>\n
